#13, 1891 5Fr Violet and black on lilac, an attractive and completely sound used example of this scarce high value, large margins all around, strong color on fresh paper, neat centrally struck "Tomatave/24 Mar 92" datestamp, very fine and choice; most used examples of this stamp are thinned or otherwise faulty due the the softness of the paper, so to find a sound used copy such as this is rare indeed; only 1,000 stamps were printed; signed A. Brun and accompanied by 2000 Behr certificate; ex-Gibralter (Yvert #13; €1,400).
