Michel #III-V, 1916 2½h to 1R Evangelical Mission Provisionals cplt., including both types of the 2½h and 7½h, without gum as always, normal even toning, very fine set; to prevent their capture by the British, these provisionals were buried until 1922, when they were retrieved and sold at auction, because of their long underground storage in a tropical climate most were destroyed, the examples offered here are in particularly choice condition (Scott footnote after #41; $1,620.00).
