#12, 1889 "Timbre 15" Surcharge on 30c Black postage due, an eye-catching mint example of this very rare stamp, featuring not only lavishly large margins all around, including a partial sheet-margin at bottom, but also being one of the few examples that still retain its full original gum, intense color on uncommonly fresh paper, o.g., extremely fine and choice; seldom found in any condition, let alone in this gem quality; while 250 stamps were issued most were used and lost to philately; signed Calves and Senf, as well as being accompanied by a 1999 Behr certificate; ex-Gibralter (Yvert #12; €5,800)
